Paraffin based CorrosionX HD is a favourite of our friends on the coast. You’ll find it on the straddle carriers at the Ports of Auckland all the way to the chassis of Simon from Williamstowns dune buggy.
CorrosionX Heavy Duty is a high performance thickened-film version of CorrosionX. It was developed specifically for marine environments to provide maximum protection against moisture intrusion and the resulting rust and corrosion. HD stubbornly resists erosion by splash or spray – including complete submersion in saltwater. CorrosionX is the only product readily available to the public that meets the U.S. Navy's tough new corrosion prevention and control performance requirement MIL-PRF-81309H.
As well as a corrosion inhibitor, CorrosionX HD is a market leading lubricant for heavy port and marine gear where grease isn’t the preferred option.
Also perfect as an assembly compound in the workshop or to prevent galling when installing stainless steel components.
Veropes Germany has independently tested wires lubricated with CorrosionX HD compared to an un-lubricated wire. The un-lubricated rope failed after 24,000 bending cycles. The wire protected with CorrosionX HD lasted 59,000 bending cycles, an increase in lifespan of 150%. Dulux conducted and international salt spray test, this test proved that no rust formed for 1008 hours in a salt spray bath at 35 degrees celsius. The German Army lab shows 2000 hours no rust in salt spray cycles of 6.
